With reference to your letter of the 10th July last

(18507/1913), asking for a candidate to be recommended for the

appointment of Assistant Superintendent of the Victoria Gaol,

Hong Kong, I am directed by the Prison Commissioners to forward

applications from the three candidates whose particulars are

given on the enclosed list. All of them can be recommended

as suitable for the post in question. At an interview with

Mr. R.H.A.Craig, that gentleman mentioned that the Secretary of

State would probably like him to interview the candidates and

if this is desired arrangements could be made accordingly.
